Christmas jumper

New postby Magot on Tue Sep 13, 2011 11:42 am

So, my son in law wants a sleeveless jumper ( vest) for christmas in the colours of the Cambridge cycling club, only tight fitting and with no ease....http://www.cambridge-cycling-club.co.uk/ scroll down to April 8th 2011 to see him and the colours. I started and I just want to register my frustration ant having completed to most of the blue triangle when I realised that I had started with far too few stitches ( I thought it looked small) and it wouldn't fit him ANYWHERE. So I have now pulled it all to bits and will start again. I shall ru out of time if I am not careful!

Jan, that's one of the reasons I gave up knitting anything other than slippers or afghans. Nothing ever fit by the time it was finished...or I realized it wasn't gonna fit before completion and then it sat in the bag. I actually found two sweaters on the weekend which I started and never finished. So I'm gonna unravel the yarn and wind back into balls and give to a charity group to use.

But I know you will succeed...cause you are the "knitting queen" :D

She is my inspiration along with a few other knitty ladies on the board. Of course you'll do it, Jan. And then you'll post a picture for all of us to ooo and ahhh over. ;)

You can do it Jan!
And Dorothy, nice puck! I had to look at that a few times to figure out what it was, then when I realized who it was, it was easy, (wasn't it?) That's a lot of was's.
