They haven't decided on a first name yet but want to use my name for a middle  . Like I told DD they won't decide until after she is born.

Abigail was born Weds at 2:10pm via c-section weighing in at 6 lbs 5 oz. She is absolutely beautiful. Will post a pic (if I can figure out how) as soon as I get one that really shows her off. Mom/Dad and baby are all doing well.

Glad to hear all went well and probably by now settling in at home. Hope you get some cuddle time, it flies by. My youngest DGD is 11 months! (Amelia)

Abigail spent an extra night in the hospital because the pediatrician suspected some cardiac issues so an 'echo' was done and it did show a hole which is more common than most people realize. Sometimes it takes a little longer in some babies to close and some do require surgery which we are praying that it will close on its own. The cardiologist also thought he saw some narrowing of the aorta so ordered the extra stay at the hospital but today the test showed all was normal except for the hole. Prayers were answered on that one. DSIL called us yesterday evening to see if we could sit with DD and DGD while he did some errands getting things ready at home. DGD is not nursing as well as DD would like her to at this point but the nursery nurse talked to her a long time last evening about nursing and put DD's mind at rest on that one. Since DD doesn't want Abby getting used to her (DD) feeding her from the bottle I got the honors of feeding her. She eats like a champ and burps like her Granddad! :o I don't know where they come from they are so big and loud from such a tiny little thing. The equipment/gadgets they have now for nursing sure have changed in the 37 years since I last dealt with nursing. Tubes for finger feeding, breast shields, and new fangled nipples for bottles that make the baby work at nursing like she would at the breast, and not to mention the new and improved pumps.
