Theresa good on ya girl ;) I am not doing any garment sewing at this point, just getting through tax season and dreaming of future sewing projects. I had six years of sewing classes in school, 3 of them learning by the couture method. I sew the same way 30 years later. Keep us in the loop ;), take care.

I got more Craftsy cupons from Mccalls, in my e-mail, today. They have lots of free tutorials.

Yes, I got my Vogue pattern in the mail yesterday. I'll start on my dress after my surgery on Tuesday. I can see several classes that I would like to take.

Marty, Theresa, What fabric do you plan on using ofr your class project. I really would like to do it but with two bridal veils and sewing for Chloe, I don't see how I can. Maybe I will follow you on your journey and then attempt the class.

Well I'm planning to actually use muslin for the muslin, as I'm pretty sure I have enough. I will wait to get into it more to choose my fabric. Chances are I have something I could use!

As far as getting the discount, I figured it out, so if anyone else wants to do it, they can.
1. Register at craftsy
2. Wait for the welcome email, which will have a class (you choose which one) for $25.
3. Click on the link from the email!

I might register for another class since it will be $25.

I'll use batiste for my muslin as it drapes well & I have lovely floral polyester for the actual dress. I won't start the class until after my surgery on Tuesday. You should sign up to take it while there is the special, sewingmom, even if you can't do it right now. I think you would have more confidence in your sewing skills if you did.
