Largest stitchable area...

New postby Upholsteress on Sun Nov 20, 2011 9:12 pm

Hi Ladies,

I have an embroidery project requiring a large stitch area.. Is there a machine out there with an 8 x 10 stitch area, or is 5 x 7 the largest for most of the machines? I am still researching but quickly get overwhelmed.. Thanks for your advice!

Cheryl, my Babylock Ellisimo has a 8 x 12 stitchable area. Brother has one too.

I think Bernina, Phaff, and Janome do to but don't quote me.

Wow.. those are the really pricey ones.. which I expected... but I am still researching this. There is a Brother dealer and a BabyLock dealer nearby... so I will probably go there and check them out in person after Thanksgiving. Thanks ladies. :)

Marty.. I went and looked at a BL Ellisimo Gold this morning. Special price Friday and Saturday is $8500 with a CD of $4000 worth of designs thrown in... (I think that could be exaggerated but hey.. free stuff is always nice. ) . I am so very tempted. How have you found the reliability to be with these machines? There is a Brother dealer no far from here too and a Pfaff dealer in Paducah, KY. If I jump..its gonna be deep I guess.. but I am still researching.

I know you girls with the Creative Visions just love them too... any experience with reliability and/or quirks are welcome.. Thanks!

yep i love my CV :D there is the new Creative Sensation that just came out not ago as well. i love mine for the ease and relatively ease of it, TEST DRIVE EACH BEFORE YOURSELF AT THE STORE FIRST, you may like the feel of one over the other too.

Marty is back in the hospital, i keep checking her Facebook for news :(

Cheryl, I have talked to many people who like the Brother embroidery machines even better than the Janome and I love my older Janome. The brothers have a large stitch field also.
