New machine

New postby bridesmom on Thu Mar 11, 2010 10:53 pm

My MIL and I had the same old Pfaff 1471 creative. Her's died, the circuit board went on it. We went out and bought her a Viking Emerald but she, being 86, hasn't been able to figure out how to use it and she hates it. So I asked her if she wanted to switch machines, which she jumped at, so now I have a brand new Viking Emerald. It sews fine so far and it will make a nice back up machine when I'm embroidering on the Brother. Now, my only desire is for a long arm (hahaha-fat chance)

Congrats Laura on your new machine. Hope that you get many years of sewing pleasure on it. Which model of the Emerald did you get ... 203, 185, 118 or the 116? Curious minds want to know.

Good for you! I long for a long arm, too....with as much hope of getting one as you have.

I love my Viking, Laura. I do mean my sewing machine. I'm still getting used to the serger. It seems a bit finicky but I think I'll really like it in time.
