Singer Sewing Machine parts

I have a Singer Model FM-17C. I need the thread holder (or whatever you call it) that locks the thread in place on the horizontal post.Does anyone know where I can get it. I ordered something off Ebay, but the thing didn't fit and I had "spoken" to the store owner, too. The post measures 1-1/2 around, using a string to measure it. Help please!
