no thread jams. It was working great but I wanted to prevent a mess so I cleaned it before sewing on my good fabric. The needle is the same one I had been sewing with so that should be right & I even checked it in all 3 needle positions. I moved that machine off the desk & am using my old Montgomery Ward machine for now because I only have 1 week to finish the dress & alter& hem DD's & hem other DD's. lucky for me 1 of my DD's dresses fits perfect & the other 4 bridesmaids had theirs altered at David's bridal where they bought them. I sure am glad I didn't take on the groom's sister's dress! that one she bought a size 18 pattern & it needed to be a size 28 RTW. She got a phone # from JoAnn's & the seamstress doing it is charging her $300. She supplied the fabric.
