So sorry for the delay. I've had a hectic couple of days.

February 3rd:
37. Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa Pekinensis and Chinensis groups)
44. Courgette flowers (Cucurbita spp.)
50. Eggplant/Aubergine/Brinjal (Solanum melongena)
99. Pea sprouts/leaves (Pisum sativum)
115. Soko (Celosia argentea)

February 4th:
1. Ahipa (Pachyrhizus ahipa)
26. Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea)
32. Chard (Beta vulgaris var. cicla)
74. Kuka (Adansonia spp.)
79. Leek (Allium porrum)

I had never heard of pea sprouts before this game. I'll have to check it out. The only plants I've grown from this list is chard, and then I tasted it! Yuck! It tastes like beets, which I detest!
This last week wished that I had grown leeks. DH and I were on a 5 day micro-nutrient diet, and the recipes we used called for a lot of leeks! Those puppies are expensive. So now I have to leeks minus the white part in the fridge. I'm chopping them up and using them like onions. What do you do with the leftover leeks?

one yesterday and one today for a total of 3. We used to have a vegetable garden. We grew green peppers, hot peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and zucchini. It was a good sized plot and I just couldn't keep up with the weeds so we cut down how many plants we had and I still couldn't do it...it cut into my pool time. :o We don't have a vegetable garden any more.

DH is in a different job since then and has more time off due to 12 hour shifts, maybe we'll try tomatoes this year. ;)

I have 5 now.

Theresa, leeks are terrific. You can make Potato Leek Soup, use them in spring rolls or any stir fry, mash them up with carrots, onions, and potatoes. Basically they're good just about any place you'd use a milder onion.

Oh, are sprouted mung beans what we call bean sprouts? I use those all the time if they are.

Still haven't answered my question but here's a cool site. http://sproutpeople.org/
