1 more I am all the way up to 4!
We can't plant anything outdoors here until mid May. My kids & grandkids plant flowers for me every Mothers Day. That is the extent of my gardening!
We did grow 2 pumpkins last year. Threw the guts from the Jack o lanterns the year before into the compost pile & we got 2 decent pumpkins from it. Tried again with last years seeds Ect. will let you know if we get anything.

I'm up to 11 now.

We can't plant till Mother's Day as well. I have never had a garden per se but will start up the greenhouse again and see what I can do. Haven't had much luck with vegetables at all. Even tomatoes :o but I'll give it another go. I also have an above ground planter outside that's about 4' x 10' filled with strawberries. Hopefully they'll spread once it warms up. This variety stands up to the cold very well and produces good fruit. When our Sammy (Lab) was first here and only 3 1/2 months old he tore up 3/4 of it but it's hung in there and should rebound.

Up to 7,
had a tough sort of week - My car suspension broke on the way home and collapsed and I had a blowout. I was off the motorway and in my village by then - about 1 1/2 miles from home but it took ethe truck 2 1/2 hours to get to me. Snow and ice everywhere..sheesh . Car mended and I picked it up today but did not enjoy the bill £568....ow!ow!!ow!!ow!!

On the plus side - my boss just made head teacher of the school!! Means she will no longer be my boss, but she won't be leaving the school!

Congratulations, Jan!

Here are the words for February 9th:

17. Bok choy (Brassica rapa Chinensis group)
47. Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
86. Mizuna greens (Brassica rapa Nipposinica group)
103. Prussian asparagus (Ornithogalum pyrenaicum)
137. Welsh onion (Allium fistulosum)

I bought Bok Choy for the first time last week. It was really good! As far as dandelion, the tea tastes terrible!

So glad your car and pocketbook were all that were hurt, Jan. Does your boss moving up give you lots more work/responsibilities?

One more for me and I'm up to 12 now.

Bok choy is good and baby bok choy is even better! I love asparagus and bought some today for $2.99 a bunch. That's a good price!

They will need to employ another teacher to replace her Lennie, but the possibility exists that I could take on a couple of hours teaching a week.. do I want to, thats what I am trying to work out..

One more on Thursday for a total of 9 words.

Headed to the doctor's office today for post-surgical follow-up visit. Went to one on Wednesday and he didn't like what he saw so is sending me to the doctor who also participated in my procedure. I'm back on antibiotics and hopefully not getting an infection. I am following their directions to a T and, I think, doing everything I'm supposed to be doing....NOTHING.

DS is bringing #1DGS and one twin tonight and staying over. He doesn't realize how hard it will be for me not holding either of them. They will stay at my mom's house so I'm not tempted to do too much. That will be even harder for me because DH works and I'm dependent on someone else to do my driving.
