Holy Smokes, I have 22! I went from last place to trying to win!

Speaking of Holy Smokes, I've got an unholy smokes going on here. Inside I'm using the self clean feature on the oven, and outside there is a forest fire so the air is full of smoke. Phew! It stinks inside and outside!

Hey, I'm back. Hopefully your fires are under control, Theresa. You know, I totally expected to come back to a winner today. Really! Vegas was Vegas. Never a real desirable destination for us as a rule. Just not appealing unless you're seriously into the nightlife and/or gambling.

The shows can be wonderful. I will say that. We drove around Friday morning to find where the "real" folks lived and it's amazing how many housing tracts there are!! I have a feeling much of it is empty too. Doesn't appeal to me one tiny bit. The weather was nice while we were there. It was sunny and about 64 every day. But to live in an unattractive place to begin with and one that averages 110 in the summer is just nuts!

Funny, how we live in what other people call inhospitable places. But we stay in those places. Wonder what the reasons are?

Well in the case of Vegas it's dirt cheap housing and of course the invention of air conditioning. A/C is what created that town. That and mobster bucks.

Lennie I don't think it is the list. I have noticed the chatter has been down a lot too. But not just here.
I know I get on & read the posts a lot but have been so busy I haven't responded like I used to. Maybe after the holidays it will slow down a little
