Losing My Mind ...

New postby MartySews2 on Mon Dec 17, 2012 11:24 pm

I do believe that I am slowly losing my mind. I was all set to embroider today the last Christmas gift and found out that almost all of my embroidery files have disappeared. So, I start looking for my external hard drive where everything was backed up. It took me almost all day as I cleaned out my closet searching for it. Then I discovered that I have lost the power cord and USB cable. I have ordered a new power cord and Seagate assured me that the cable for my camera would work. However, the new power cord will not arrive until after Christmas. Then I spent almost 2 hours searching for an appropriate replacement design on the internet. Finally found that and ordered it. I did download it & put it on my flash drive so tomorrow, I'll start all over again. Joe was no help to me as he reminded me (more than once) that if I would just put things in a container and label it, I would find my things. I wanted to clobber him. I was so upset that I did not eat anything until after 5pm today. By then, my glucose level so low that I was getting dizzy. My daughter made me eat a salad and a hamburger patty even though I wasn't hungry. I'm sure that as soon as the new power cord arrives, I will find the original one. This has not been my day especially since I have been coughing and sniffling since Friday and my throat is raw. I don't even feel like "Merry Christmas" right now.

Don't you hate that when you can't find something. I tore the house apart yesterday looking for an umbrella since it has been raining for several days now and we wanted to go out. Found it after we got back home!
If it makes you feel any better Marty I'm losing my mind too. I had to ask DH on 3 separate occassions what we were going to Walmart for-all within about 30 mins.
Hope you are feeling better and that you can fight off what sounds like a cold.

It happens to all of us

I lost my house keys - looked for them everywhere. Husband joined in the search, looked in all handbags, shopping bags, coat pockets etc. and where were they?

They were in the fridge, why? I haven't a clue. I assume that I put them in there along with some of the shopping, unfortunagely hubby found them not me, I wonder why he looked in the fridge? Has he done that before? and not told me :D

Went to the doctor this morning ... 4 hrs later, I found out that I have bronchitis. Will start tonight on antibiotics. Now, I'm going to have to rush to get this last gift made so it can be shipped today. Fortunately, it only has to go 4hrs away so I hope my nephew and his bride get their gifts by Friday.

Darlin', you haven't lost your mind...It is just temporarily misplaced. Have a glass of wine and everything will be back to normal chaos tomorrow...

LOL!!! Paula, you are so right. However, instead of wine (I don't drink alcohol), I'll have a Diet 7-Up. I'm sure that as soon as the new cord arrives, I'll find the old one. That's what happened when I lost my serger cord. I'm glad that hubby doesn't mind what I spend on my sewing stuff. Of course, I keep it in the budget just in case.

My new power cord came today so I have spent part of the day restoring the designs to my laptop. I am so glad that I didn't lose these designs. I have 4 more Christmas gifts to make but don't have to ship them anywhere. Whew!!!
