I have an unbreakable rule for myself.. If a power cord has a unique connection (good for only 1 item) then I never put it away in a different place from its owner item. They have to be stored together!!! And no one is to do any differently with any item of mine or else>>> My ds (2) never cross me on that rule..

I also also put cord with device but I also always make a label with duct tape and wrap on the cord when I first get it home. However, I have a whole box of cords I have no idea what they are for and am afraid to throw them out as I don't recall if it is for some device I haven't used in a while. Tells me too much technology in my life

I know exactly what you mean, Nancy. I have bunches of cords but have no idea which device they belong to or if I have given the device away without the cord. I try to keep cords with the product but my daughter had unplugged my external hard drive to plug in my back massager and didn't put the cord & hard drive together. Now, I keep it in the softcase for my laptop so everything is together.
