Hello! I live in Plano,Texas (near Dallas). My full time job is veterinary technician, my part time job is working at Hancock Fabrics (lousy pay, great discount). And in my "spare" time I try to sew as much as possible: for myself, my grown daughters and other friends and family members. Purses, curtains, clothing, just about anything. Not too crazy about major projects -- the last big deal was a "Pirates of the Caribbean" style gown, and it took every evening for 2 weeks, plus 3 fittings (thank goodness I got paid for that one). By the time I was done with the gown I was SICK of it!
The best thing is, now that my girls are grown, I have taken over our sunroom/extra family room and have officially turned it into my sewing hideout. There I have plenty of room, a nice view and an air-conditioned retreat from our 103 degree heat wave! Ahhhhh!
Looking forward to meeting everyone -- again!
