Hi From Israel

New postby creativemommyto3 on Thu Feb 14, 2008 1:08 am

Hi, my name is Ita. I am a mom of three adorable kids. I live in Israel. I am American but I have been living here for almost four years. I finally made myself a place to sew . That was not an easy thing to do since we don't have a lot of storage space here in Israel. I don't mind. I have had a ton of fun organizing in between all the happenings of life . I can't wait to make myself a new outfit for spring. I want to make myself a skirt at least. I want to make a jacket but am a bit nervous about that.
Can't wait to get to know everybody!

Hi Ita, welcome to the group. We have posters from around the world. Tell us a little more about yourself so we can get to know you. Are your children young, teens or older? What type of machines do you have? Are there fabric shops nearby or do you mostly order from the internet? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Welcome Ita! I am happy to meet you. Dorothy is the queen of jackets with cool linings around here and she just posted a nice one with a HongKong finish on the seams. Kaitlinn is working on a stella Jacket right now. I want to do the Stella jacket but am waiting to see how hers turns out before I attempt it. Burda Style the Stella jacket pattern online to print off a tape together. Its free. Again, Welcome aboard. The more the merrier!!!

Welcome, welcome, Ita! I'd like to know more also. What are the fabric shops like there? Are fabrics expensive generally speaking or can you find deals?

Looking forward to seeing you here often. :D
