Oh for crying our loud

New here? Stop in and say hello!

Oh for crying our loud

New postby DorothyL on Wed Aug 15, 2007 5:40 am

I guess I should get on the bandwagon too.
I'm Dorothy. I make all my own clothes (except underwear) and other stuff too.
I DON'T quilt.
I am 56, live in upstate New York and write for a newspaper and for a radio station. I have two grown daughters. One is married and works part-time in a grocery store in Buffalo. The other one is an attorney in New York City.
I don't have grandchildren. I guess that means I'm not old enough to be a grandmother!!
Lucy is my baby now. That's her in her soccer sweater.
I am learning to knit.
As if everyone didn't know all that already.

I didn't know all that. I knew that you were a writer, but not for radio, thought you had one grown kid, and that you were an established knitter.

I have to admit, I kinda like that I'm getting to read about everyone now that we've switched boards a couple times :D I was a newer member over at SWN and everyone knew everyone already.

I didn't know a lot of that either, Dorothy. Thanks for opening up a bit. You've always been so shy. ;)

Well Dorothy, I did not know that you were NOT a quilter. I could have sworn I SAW a picture of a small wall hanging sized quilt that you made. :P
I'm creative. You can't expect me to be neat too.

Wow Dorothy, it's nice to finally know more about you. I also didn't know you WERE'NT a quilter, I do find it hard to believe since you are SO talented otherwise. One day we may lure YOU and Lennie over to the DARK side of quilting !!

I didn't know all that either about you Dorothy. I have 9 Grandkids and one more on the way and I'm younger than you so I don't want to hear all that stuff about being not old enough to have grandkids :P Your daughters are just slow not like my fertile sons. :P :P But it nice hearing about everyone and about their families.
